About Us
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
In November 2023, Social Welfare Department (SWD) launched the “Information Gateway for Carers” (Information Gateway). The Information Gateway was funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, where the Hong Kong Shue Yan University was commissioned to develop the website. The Information Gateway consolidates service information, caring skills, community activities and support resources for elderly persons, persons with disabilities and their carers. By bringing together information previously scattered across different service units and programmes, the Information Gateway facilitates carers to gain access to services, and helps frontline workers and community partners to deliver consistent information to carers. Starting from 1 July 2026, SWD has commissioned the Hong Kong Council of Social Service to operate the Information Gateway.
